To those of you still clinging on to that healthy New Year’s resolution, well done you/sorry ’bout this! Although I’m usually a big fan of whipping up more healthy sweet treats (more to come soon!) these are fully indulgent, full fat gooey goodness! I bloody love Creme Eggs and with Easter approaching, it’s the perfect excuse to experiment a little in the kitchen. Would you like to see more Easter-inspired bakes? Let me know!
200g Dairy Milk chocolate
100g plain flour
275g caster sugar
40g cocoa powder
6 Creme Eggs (cut in half length ways)
1. Melt the chocolate and butter together and set to one side to cool
2. In a separate bowl, add the eggs and sugar and whisk together until fluffy. Slowly add the chocolate and butter mixture
3. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and fold together
4. Bake at 180C (gas mark 4) for 20 minutes and then push in the halved Creme eggs. Bake for another 10 minutes and then leave to cool before cutting into portions!
These are the perfect sweet treat to get your sugar fix and I’m sure I’ll be baking these more over the next month due to high demands from my friends and housemates!
If you bake my Creme Egg brownies, be sure to tweet me a photo @kirstiepicker!
