I’m a little promiscuous when it comes to hair masks. I feel like they all kinda do a similar thing and give your hair a hug when it’s feeling sad. I try out a lot of different offerings from Boots/Superdrug and have whittled my favourites down to just three. You’re welcome!
Let’s start strong: Charles Worthington’s Strength & Repair, Longer & Stronger Hair Masque aka my favourite. I bought this on a whim when my hair was feeling dry to the point that I was dodging straightening it at all costs (it was that bad I embraced the afro for at least two whole days).
Coming in at £5.99 it’s an absolute steal compared to similar offerings from Kerastase, for example, that cost around £20. It left my hair feeling nourished and stronger and looking almost as shiny as Elsa’s. I also strangely enjoy that the lid comes on a hinge, although I wish more masks came in tubes to avoid ‘I dropped the soap’ situations.
I’m also a big fan of L’Oreal Elvive’s Full Restore 5 mask. This is really light in consistency so it’s great for thick hair that tends to get greasy quickly. I found this made my hair feel considerably silkier and more manageable and it’s only £3.39 in Boots!
Last in is TRESemme’s Breakage Defence Restructuring Treatment Masque (none of these have easy names eh?!). My sister bought me this for Christmas – it is a beast and I had to lug it all the way back on the five-hour train journey home! This is a heavier formula and you can tell it’s nourishing before even plopping it on your head. I’d say this is a once a week kind of mask for this reason, especially if you have greasier hair like me, but a bloody good one for the cost!
What is your favourite budget hair mask?

Ooh these all sound amazing! I don't buy hair masks, I prefer using natural hair masks such as coconut oil! xTOUCHOFGUCCI // BLOGLOVIN
I really need to try out a hair mask! With my hair being quite long it can look quite dry and damaged when I haven't had it trimmed for a while so I definitely need to try one of these out! You have a lovely blog 🙂 xxxhttp://www.samanthafrances.co.uk
I love using hair masks, I just love having a good ole pamper! I really want to try out all these now haha!! Especially the Charles Worthington one, it's not as expensive as I would have guessed it to be! I have a hair mask from Argan Oil that was like a quid and it's amazing!! xxBecky Shannon xx – Life-by-Becky
