Much like everyone else it would seem, I wasn’t particularly bothered when H&M announced they were launching a beauty range. When a company tries to branch out into too many fields, the outcome is often pretty disappointing – this launch was a complete delight.
Their colour essence eyeliners have particularly stood out for me. I picked up the shade Mighty Oak, which despite its appearance in the stock photo online, is a khaki brown tone with a hint of gold. The creamy consistency is reminiscent of the Marc Jacobs eyeliner but for a fraction of the price at just £3.99, barg.
I’ve been enjoying playing around with subtle colours other than black and brown on the eyes and this has been a perfect product to experiment with. Would you like to see a tutorial with coloured eye looks?
I got some lovely compliments on my makeup in my recent IKEA haul video, where I swept the Burberry Eye Colour Silk in Khaki Green over the lid and used the H&M liner lightly under my eyes and across my upper lash line for an intense smokey eye with a twist.
What are your thoughts on the H&M beauty range?
