I haven’t written about a full makeup look on these ends for a while and I thought I’d share a little favourite with you on this murky Thursday (one day til two days off people!)
Throughout the warmer months I’m very much a natural look kinda gal – partly because I’m at my laziest when it’s hot, partly because I’m a sweaty betty, partly because it just looks pretty sometimes, so when autumn rolls around I’m ready to slap on a little extra to help make me look alive when the tan fades.
I’ve been loving a subtle winged liner look to give my eyes a little definition and have been reaching for the Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner, which I’ve raved about on these ends before. My efforts at freehand eyeliner are quite honestly comical but I’m a big fan of the ol’ flat brush and pot technique. This doesn’t budge all day and lasts ages – I bought this a couple of years ago and it’s hardly made a dent (potential hygiene issue though, mebbe?)
My usual trusty rule for everyday makeup is lips or eyes, because I hate to look overdone in any situation. Because I’ve been loving a more understated eyeliner look I’ve been pairing it with a bolder lip, especially on hair wash day to detract from the greasy ‘fro (see above) such as the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in the shade ‘Walk of Shame’.
Love the risque name, but first and foremost I like the instant pop of colour and longevity of the wear. I can eat and drink and it doesn’t budge, and even when the day is coming to an end it’s one of those babes of a product that fades evenly – love you CT.
