The Five Ingredient Double Choc Cookies

A rainy Sunday is the perfect excuse to stay in, be a slug and rustle up something calorific. Today I made these double chocolate chip cookies out of just five ingredients you probably have lurking in your kitchen! Perfect with a cup of tea while you salivate over Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love (just me?)



200g plain flour

90g caster sugar

180g butter

2 heaped tablespoons of cocoa powder

100g Dairy Milk (or chocolate chips if you’re feeling lazy)


1. Cream the butter and sugar together and then stir in the flour and cocoa powder

2. Cut up the Dairy Milk into big chips (I cut each piece into eight) and add to mixture

3. The mixture is REALLY sticky so this is the hard bit – roll into a big sausage and wrap in clingfilm. Warning – it will look like a big poo. Leave in the fridge for 2-3 hours

4. Cut the mixture into 1cm slices. It will still be quite sticky so you may need to reshape a bit. Grease baking paper on a tray and pop them in the oven on 180 degrees for around 15 minutes. The mixture should make around 15!
