If there’s a shade of lipstick that is pretty much an all round people pleaser, it would be a pinky nude. Some gals fear a bold hue for the office but a neutral, dare I say that generic blogger phrase, ‘your lips but better’ shade is wearable and easy to top up throughout the day. Here, I’ve picked out my top five offerings that I turn to every week.

Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Descanso
Although this may look a little bolder than you would expect, on the lip it transfers with a slightly glossy finish and adds a little something to yourself without being too stand-out.
Mac Satin Lipstick in Brave
This is the slightly lighter version of current blogger Mac favourite Mehr (which I also have, oops). Rose tones would always be my recommendation as a go-to as they compliment every skin tone and subtly wake up a tired face.
Chanel Coco Rouge Lipstick in Cecile
Although I absolutely adore this line for its hydrating formula, colour range and naming, I have a love/hate relationship with my particular lipstick because I bought it from duty free and upon opening, I discovered it was battered beyond belief (but seriously, really really good formula!)
Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
As the name suggests, the formula of this is really buttery and is as easy to apply as a lip balm. This transfers as slightly darker than the other four, leaving a nourishing glossy finish and a slight pop of colour.
Nyx Color Lip Balm in Tack
This is like my lip balm of dreams – tinted, moisturising, easy to apply without a mirror and costs just a few pounds. Mine has nearly run out and that never happens *sheds a thousand tears*
