If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you will know that I adore Christopher Bailey and the Burberry brand. It is such an innovative, beautiful and classic fashion house and is so ahead of the game when it comes to digital progress.
While my current graduate salary is restraining me from indulging in their most covetable items (the bags, the skirts, the coats!!), their beauty offering allows us peasants to have a slice of the Burberry pie without having to live off sweetcorn for the next year.
I recently popped in the Burberry Beauty Box in Covent Garden to peruse their glorious shelves. Firstly, I have to say – what a beautiful store. The winding staircase, the luxe design, the digital offerings – amazing. The Digital Runway Nail bar even allows you to ‘try on’ their nail polishes to see how they look against your skin tone.
Secondly – the customer service. I’ve never experienced fantastic customer service on such a scale. The girls are so friendly and knowledgable, ready to offer assistance where required but not pestering you like I find some counter often do.
I picked up their Fresh Glow BB Cream in the shade Fair 01 and I’m a big fan. It’s a ‘your skin but better’ product, ideal for a good skin day and creates a really glowing and healthy finish. The lovely ladies at Burberry also popped a few samples in my bag – a tiny tube of their Fresh Glow Primer and a seriously cute miniature bottle of their newest fragrance My Burberry (which I am hoping Father Christmas will place under the tree for me).
My in-store experience has only furthered my love for Christopher Bailey and his work, but while I pursue my dream of attending a Burberry show, I’m more than okay making do with loitering around the beauty!
