I first heard about this new range when seeing the lush double page advert in this month’s Glamour – ten beautiful and successful actresses all dressed in white including Blake Lively, Eva Longoria and Freida Pinto.
The range is advertised as a ‘rouge for every woman’, a really nice approach in my opinion as it’s so easy to get the wrong red lip for your skin tone. I was due a trip to Boots that day anyway (was I? Probably needed nothing) so headed towards the L’Oreal counter.
There isn’t just a red for every woman – there’s also a nude! Each of the ten women have their own eponymous red and nude lipstick, designed so us gals can match up with an actress. I bucked the trend and opted for two different ladies – Blake Lively’s pure red and Eva Longoria’s nude.
I love the unique packaging to each – Eva’s lipsticks are smooth and rubbery *innuendo alert* and Blake’s is also rubbery in texture with a cracked appearance. The colour pay off is impressive and the formula is really creamy so isn’t drying on the lips, but I would recommend a lip liner to avoid that I-look-like-I’ve-been-kissing-but-I’m-actually-a-loner look (the commonly known look…)
They cost just £6.99 apiece and it’s 3 for 2 on L’Oreal make up at the moment so hurry hurry hurry, Blake and her gorgeous baby belly are waiting for ya!
What are your favourite shades from the range?
