I’m always intrigued to see other people’s collections because, let’s face it, we’re all a bit nosey deep down (or not so deep down). When it comes to perfume, however, other people’s recommendations tend to go in one ear and out the other. I am very particular about smells, especially if it’s ME.
I have a few perfumes other than the ones featured here but they’re not some that I would consider on a daily basis, usually because I associate smells with memories and some are better off in the back of the cupboard (ya hear me gurlz?!) I like to have my own signature scent and get funny when close friends buy the same perfume – is that just me?! Once I’m attached to a perfume I’m likely to repurchase – this is my second bottle of Daisy, for example. Like I mentioned, smells to me are unique to each person so I’m totes a clingy smelly girl.
Burberry Body was a duty free treat from my Daddy *angel face* and I’d wanted it for ages. I love everything associated with Burberry and Christopher Bailey and their fragrances are the closest I’m going to get for a long while. I love the rose gold detailing on this bottle, it just looks so glamorous and expensive. Here commences the poor description of the scent… I’m drawn to floral scents and this smells like the countryside in the summer – the mixture of freesia, rose and vanilla really come through as soon as it’s spritzed.
Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs is a classic in my eyes – I’ve nearly finished my second bottle and I’m feeling a repurchase coming on *hurry up pay day* This is a really light, fresh scent which smells just like fresh flowers (duh to the name) and isn’t overpowering. I’m sure you’ve all had a whiff of this, it’s been popular amongst my friends and family for what seems like years! Love the daisy-adorned lid too.
Last but not least, I really like Katy Perry’s fragrances. Her first fragrance, Purr, reminds me of my first year at university – even my friends recognise the smell from my box room in halls. More recently I’ve been wearing Killer Queen, a more grown up scent than the aforementioned, smelling distinctly of a mixture of musk, flowers and fruit?! (Told you I’m awful). I would refer to it as more of an evening fragrance as it is stronger than my daytime perfumes. I’m not one to be sucked in by a celebrity endorsement but keep on bringing the smellies Katy!
Which perfume do you always reach for?
