There's nothing like a good lazy Sunday to have a clean, be it your car, your possessions or your skin. Unless I'm seeing someone special (eg Ryan Gosling), I like to have Sunday as my make up free day and when I go through a proper routine to clear out all the grot from the week.

This week my combination skin is really showing its worst form and I've got dry patches, oiliness AND redness - jealous? My skin really suffers in changing weathers and its not reacted well to the dip in temperature this week.

Today I started with the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Pads so ensure my base is clean and neutral. The pads are soaked in glycolic acid which is very lightly exfoliating, while the witch hazel aims to tone (not too sure about this bit). These are actually the only product I like from Nip + Fab as they're the only one I haven't reacted to - sensitive skin beware.

Next I used the Clinique Turnaround Instant Facial Mask. This is a mask that dries hard and drinks up nasty impurities lying under your skin. When rinsing off with warm water, you can feel very tiny exfoliating beads which are gentle and not too abrasive at all - I'm always conscious of using masks that pull at the skin upon removal.

To inject some wanted moisture back in I used a Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask that I mentioned in my recent Boots haul over on my YouTube channel. I'm new to sheet masks and I'm a big fan of these (especially when they're on offer like they are at present!) I left it on for about 15 minutes because it's an excuse to lay down and do nothing (Sunday, innit).

I splashed my face with some warm water to remove any excess residue and applied just a few drops of the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I've written a full review of this here but this is filled with vitamin C to brighten your skin and it's meant to boost collagen too - we shall see! I've been using this alternately with The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-In-Oil which is also fab.

I then popped on a minimal amount of the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Night Cream and an eye cream from the Vitamin E range at The Body Shop.

There we go! My skin always feels its best on a Monday morning after a weekend of good sleep and a thorough skincare routine - if only it always felt so fresh!

  1. Nip+Fab and The Body Shop are both impressing me so much at the moment. I usually do a triple cleanse and mask if my skin is looking really bad x
